Challenger Space Shuttle Remembrance Observance

From my Friend J. Speicher on his Google+ today and originally from "Space Shuttle Challenger" (Google+ also):

The NASA family lost seven of its own on the morning of January 28, 1986, when a booster engine failed, causing the Shuttle Challenger to break apart just 73 seconds after launch.

The crew of STS-51-L: Front row from left, Mike Smith, Dick Scobee, Ron McNair. Back row from left, Ellison Onizuka, Christa McAuliffe, Greg Jarvis, Judith Resnik.

Space Shuttle Challenger (NASA Orbiter Vehicle DesignationOV-099) was NASA's second Space Shuttle orbiter to be put into service,Columbia having been the first.

I don't know if you remember this tragic event, but I was at home that day and saw it live on TV. Traumatic doesn't begin to explain. Remember and say a prayer for the brave souls lost that day.

Blessings.

Google Hide Personal Results Button - FINALLY!

If you're like me, and you use Chrome, you have been scrolling down to the tools menu and hitting "show search tools" and then down again to "verbatim". What a pain in the tuckuss; to get the actual results I was wanting I had to jump through hoops. Sheesh.

Because I always want to omit my personal crapola (my social media and places visited) and actually search for something that I type into the search bar, I've been using other search engines a lot lately. And this has been a pain in the side for a very long time, for many of us.

In the beginning, you got real results. Life was good.  Then you got stuff added, like local search and google maps.  You now how to sort through a lot of stuff to get the actual results.

THEN, for awhile it was just logging out of Google to get actual results, albeit, with local and maps taking up a bunch of the page one results. then it was using the verbatim tool, but NOW, (Yippee!) there is a button at the top right of the google search page. A pair of buttons actually.

The little button on the left is the YOU button and the button on the right is the WORLD button.

When searching you now have a switch to turn off your stuff and see the real world results. I wish it was the other way around. That I could see the real world results without having to even use the world button.

What's so hard about that?  Real search for real world results. Isn't that what we want anyhowsen?

I'm really not complaining as the button does save me time now. But still. You know, it is a search engine after all, isn't it?

Buddy Bulletin - Subscribe by Email.

How to Subscribe by Email to Any Buddy Bulletin Newspaper.

I've been asked this question several times and although this is an easy one to answer, a picture usually helps:

The button indicated is just below the header area; top right hand side.  Click the button and enter your email address.

NOTE: The Buddy Bulletin Newspapers update each and every morning. You will receive an update each time this happens. Most email accounts allow for filtering so you can send these to a specific folder so your inbox does not fill up with them if you are away for a week or so.

Archived Newspaper Editions

The Buddy Bulletin Newspaper Edition Archives

Once one of your tweets has been published, it will be archived under the publish date.  It is very easy to retrieve the URL of any edition. And once retrieved you may tweet the edition with your mention again and again, if you so desire.

There are two methods to achieve this. Go to The Buddy Bulletin, choose "archives" at the top of the page:

You will see the calendar pop up on the screen, as below:

Choose the date of the edition your tweet appeared as news and view the URL of that date:

At this point you can take one of two actions available.

1 - You can copy the URL to tweet; keep it so you can tweet again at a future time.
2 - You can tweet the URL now by utilizing the tweet button on the selected date:

Very simple, neat and clean - you can keep your published tweet at the forefront of your followers attention. If you schedule your tweets, such as many twitter app websites out there allow, you can use the URL with different text messages each time too. This is true for all the Buddy Bulletin newspaper editions.

Each time you tweet, your new followers will see you are a published tweeter!

Happy Tweeting!  ;)

The Buddy Bulletin News Hashtag List

The Buddy Bulletin - Main Newspaper for News Worldwide

As stated at the newspaper website the news is aggregated from tweets at Twitter. Anyone can be published in our newspaper line by following simple directions. Your tweets will be broadcast to a wider audience so tweeple can find you, according to what you tweeted about that brought your tweet to the newspaper.

When you tweet, an URL (website or blog address) must be present in the tweet to catch the eye of the robot (program) to consider your tweet for inclusion, on any given day.

The first tweets to be considered for entry are those folks who  follow @SuperEB.  Here is the current list:

1 - Followers of @SuperEB
2 - Tweeple listed @SuperEB/buddybulletin1
3 - Tweeple listed @SuperEB/bbuddy
4 - A private hashtag - sshhh it's a secret!
5 - #bbuddy
6 - #news
7 - #tcot

The order of this list is important in that your tweets will have a higher chance of publication at The Buddy Bulletin if you, you know, follow the leader.

There are currently 10 Buddy Bulletin Newspapers published.  Look around here, the list is on this blog, as well as at the Buddy Bulletin newspaper website list page.

We hope this will help you broadcast your links to a wider audience online. Each newspaper in the line will have a list like this one posted soon.

Today's Edition of The Buddy Bulletin.
